                                           Government’s Call

In my last blog, I talked about the safety issues of women. Now, In this blog I am going to discuss about the steps government has taken for the same purpose. There are number of schemes led by the government of India for the safety of women. Few proved out to be great success but few has not even been properly implemented.
Today, even after the 71st Independence of the country, our women needs to be protected by schemes like these. Although, My concern through this blog is towards the betterment of women by any means and I will stick to that.
Till today, women in downtown are not well informed neither well equipped. They are just treated as that section of the society who has to keep on struggling always in order to get whatever they want.

All the education a women is gaining is not simply for the purpose of getting a job and being successful but for the purpose of fighting all the odds and making a firm place in society for all the women out there.
Few government initiatives are:
1. Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao Scheme
2. One Stop Centre Scheme
3. Women helpline scheme
4 Working Women’s Hostel (WWH)
5. Support to Training and Employment        Programme (STEP) for Women
6. SWADHAR Greh Scheme
7. Rajiv Gandhi National Creche Scheme
8. Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana (IGMSY)
9. Mahila e-Haat
10. Mahila police volunteers
11. National Mission for Empowerment of Women (NMEW)
