DUMB WOMEN’S

Long way has to be travelled. A very, very long. But to travel, We need to know how to run. And even before that, We need to know how to walk. I will explain these lines later.
Before that, I would like to ask, to everyone, Concerned to women and their safety. How do we assure the safety of women? Ummm,
All right! Let’s list out the actions we should take in order to make sure that there’s enough secure world waiting out there for all we ladies.
Number 1-  Wear full clothes.
Number 2- Don’t roam on streets after 7.
Number 3- Walk with your eyes down.
Number 4- Don’t make male friends.
Etc etc.
Convincing enough?
Well, I am a 20 year old Journalism student, Grown up in the liberal-est Family, having a father and brothers no less than gems, Allhamdollilah. But wait, In the beautiful process of growing up what led me to think about something like this? How this urge evolved in someone like me to talk about such sensitive issue?
Did only Men made me feel so? NO, NEVER. Then?

It is the Society, Yes. The society always kept a check on me that I never forget that I am a Girl and I am always required to ‘STAY WITHIN MY LIMITS’.

Dear Society, Here’s an open letter for all of you. Before you teach us what to do.

Here’s a piece of suggestion you need to work on. The basic thing you can do is  please do tell your sons as well that they are not supposed to consider women a ‘FOOL’. Here is where the problem starts from. Yes, this time I won’t ask the society to teach their sons to respect or to honour women. But please, just do not insert this thing in your Childs mind.

Men, not only by their own self but due to the societies impact, mistakes themselves to be much more intelligent and smart, No offence, but this ultimately leads them to do whatever they want to with the women out there.  Be it considering them as an object or showing them disrespect of any sort, sexual harassment, Eve teasing, Marital Rapes and Physical violence is also an outcome of thinking themselves stronger than women.

We are physically less empowered than you, I agree. But NEVER confuse it with the weakness of our will, spirit and minds. If we come on our real self, leaving our emotional part at side, we can lower the mountains with our esteem. And each one of you, at some point of your life, will definitely meet a women who will prove this to you.

I would put an end to this blog of mine with a small expectation of putting a little pressure on your mind, my friend and become serious of not considering women as a ‘FOOL’ anymore.
Till then, all my lovely ladies. . More Power to you :)

  4. But then there are some flaws as well which i cant ignore..!! In first place you say its nt men who are responsible for your( in general) miseries, but the society which is to be blamed..!! I was quite okay with it till then.. Bcoz Society comprises not just men but women as well..Fair enough!! However,as i went through you blog, you cursed and concluded by blaming 'MEN' only for your problems. How justified is that???
Suggesting that women are somehow "asking for it" because of something they wear is not only the thought process of men but women as well. Ask yourself and you would find the ans.!!

    1. First of all, Thank you so much for your opinions. I am glad you are reading all my blogs. Secondly, I would like to clear the misinterpretations that the blog caused. What do you think, how a society harms a girl? Do you think it's really done only by dominating girls. I think the answer is a big no. What i meant was that SOCIETY moulds a persons mind in such a way that women face problem by the thoughts created in the minds.
Also, i would take your suggestions and would like to add that yes, womens thoughts should also have been mentioned. In future, I will focus on that as well. :)

The intentional use of physical force, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or a group or community, either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, mal-development or deprivation [ 2 ]. Violence against women is a global issue. Women are neglected, trapped within cultural framework, molded by dogmatic thoughts of the patriarchal system. As a result, violence against women is viewed as a normal phenomenon in the light of male attitudes. Still now, women, in Bangladesh, suffer from violence,...
TRUE STORIES: TAKE THE LESSONS SHIKHA'S STORY I had been seeing this guy for just over three months. We both drank a lot. One night, he got really mad at me and he called me a lot of names, and then pushed me against the wall. I got really scared but he said he was sorry and he’d never do it again. Another night, he wanted to make love and I asked him to put on a condom. He said he didn’t have one. I asked him to stop, and he wouldn’t. And he said that it didn’t matter, not to worry about it. At first, I sort of laughed cause i thought he was joking, but then I realized he was serious and I got scared. I told him to stop but he wouldn’t, and I pushed him away but he pushed me back and pinned me down with his body. He was very strong. He raped me. How I coped I had been abused as a child, and I had told him about it. I was very depressed already, and I had been cutting myself. Things got really bad after the rape. I tried to kill myself. I think I just wante...
